Yabao is a rare and unusual tea that originates from China, namely the Yunnan province. It is often referred to as white tea or pu-erh, but in fact it has its own characteristics that are not found in other teas.

Yabao is made from young tea tree buds, harvested in early spring before they have opened. The tea buds used for this tea are usually grown on old mountain tea forms. Initially, these buds had a larger lignified shell, with a high growth rate, so they gradually changed externally.

Peculiarities of brewing

This tea should not be brewed at a temperature above 90°C, as you want to serve it with the fresh, delicate flavor notes that the tonic tea contains. Buds undergo multifaceted technological processing. As a rule, Yabao is brewed for 2-3 minutes. However, you can experiment over time to achieve the desired strength.

Like other types of tea, Yabao contains antioxidants that help fight aging and protect the body from the harmful effects of free radicals.

Taste description


Yabao - teas with a light, sweet shade, with herbs, flowers, honey, with a slightly woody aftertaste. The smell of a living tree reminded me of spring. It does not have pronounced bitterness and astringency, which is probably due to the special method of processing and collection, it is very, very easy to drink.
